Research activities will cover the continuum from deciphering historical contexts creating certain segments of heritage, its elements, characteristics, monuments and artefacts. They will consist of desk (archival, librarian and work in the document, manuscript, photo and video collections of institutions, enterprises and individuals) and field (location survey, drawing plans, taking photo and video materiel, interviews, etc) researches. It is envisaged to have c.ca 500 monuments and artefacts of cultural and historical heritage on the territory of Montenegro covered and relevant data processed. They will be selected according to chronological (from ancient until modern times), thematic, problem and territorial dimension, taking care of their balanced disposition among each of the categories. The methodology for monuments’ selection will be based upon the both official „List of protected cultural-historical monuments“, prepared and adopted by the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro, as well as the new results achieved in research of cultural-historical heritage of the country, realised through recent projects supported by the Montenegrin ministries of culture and science. Acquired data will be selected according to their relevance and processed into electronic service available to the smartphone and tablet devices’ users (mobile application “Cultural Map of Montenegro” for Android and iOS), GIS data base uploaded to online presentation in order to be readily available to the widest range of users from scientific and general public. The achieved results will be also disseminated through monograph, articles in scientific journals, presentations at the conferences, photo exhibition, workshops and lectures, as well as organization and realization of final conference. In order to successfully implement the above mentioned, as well as to strengthen its scientific and research capacities, the Institute will purchase certain items of needed technical equipment, organize the mobility of team members in partner institutions, prepare the documentation and the other infrastructural preconditions needed for accreditation for education of tourist guides in domain of cultural tourism and, finally, employ a young researcher from the field covering the project’s scope.
